Job description

The Lifeguard is responsible for the daily management and operation of the Aquatics facility and the safety of all its patrons. Competencies: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Current CPR certification, First Aid Certification, and Lifeguard training (YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Deep Water) preferred. If not currently certified, applicant must successfully obtain these certifications within three months of hire date to continue employment. Valid driver#s license, SCM certification, CPR/First Aid certification required. Experience with or the demonstrated ability to successfully interact with children with severe behavioral, social and emotional issues. Must be at least 21 years of age. Demonstrative skills in swimming and rescue work necessary. Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, flexible hours, and overtime as required.
