Description:

The position will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions of COMHAR, Inc. and its Affiliates. The position encompasses responsibility for all accounting records and preparation of financial statements and other financial reporting. The position is responsible for the supervision of all accounting and finance personnel. The position is a Senior level position, working under the administrative direction of and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Supervises Budgeting, accounting, payroll, and accounts payable.
  • Revenue integrity / reimbursement and financial analysis.
  • Establishes a single point of contact for executives and internal staff for fiscal services.
  • An integral role in establishing financial systems.
  • Coordinate and manage annual budget process in cooperating with management including preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate ongoing review of Cost Allocation Plan.
  • Development cost accounting systems and procedures to support financial analysis.
  • Ensure state-of-the-art reimbursement, budgeting processes and systems are established.
  • Responsible for overseeing profitability analysis, third party reimbursement and regulatory reporting, cost accounting and productivity monitoring.
  • Serves as consultant and advisor to directors as relates to financial issues.
  • Effective Cash Management.
  • Submit cash analysis to Chief Financial Officer.
  • Perform appropriate review of accounting records on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee accounting department in preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Oversight of financial records for all related entities.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and control financial policies for the company to control receipt of revenue and expenditures of funds.
  • Review and coordinate the financial reporting and controls established by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze financial data.
  • Review the annual budget and coordinate its implementation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and prepare for year-end audits of financial statements of COMHAR, Inc. and its Affiliates by third party public accounting firm.
  • Establish and maintain record retention and filing system.
  • Keep the Chief Financial Officer informed on status of all financial service projects as requested by the Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements
  • Experience as an effective problem-solver, and should possess strong values and interpersonal and leadership qualities.
  • Bachelor of Science in accounting or finance.
  • 7 plus years of accounting experience.
  • Non-profit and healthcare experience preferred.
  • 3 plus years of supervisory experience required.
