PeopleShare has a really great opportunity for an HR Generalist to help support the HR Director at a College here in Philadelphia!

Job Details for HR Generalist:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • $19.40 per hour
  • Contract Role - Project Based - 3 Months or Longer

Job Responsibilities & Description for HR Generalist:

  • Serves as the primary contact for the HR office delivering basic accurate information to the public, administration, faculty and confidential staff of the College regarding the College's policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Responds to HR inquiries received via phone, walk in and through the department's designated email inbox in a timely manner.
  • Completes all processes related to the Talent Acquisitions process from start to finish. Including ensuring accurate data on the request, posting the position, reviewing resumes, and resolving any issues during the process in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates the background screening process for employees to ensure required background checks and clearances are performed in compliance with College policies and applicable state/local regulations.
  • Coordinate the on boarding process for new hires, including preparation of hiring packets, completion of new hire paperwork, and coordination employees first day of work.
  • Drafts confidential documents and spreadsheets for the HR Director.
  • Provide coordination of internal requests for contingent staffing; serve as the liaison between hiring managers and agencies to fill requests for temporary staffing, while maintaining compliance with applicable terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Assist recruiters in sourcing qualified applicants for difficult-to-fill positions.

Job Requirements for HR Generalist:

  • Experience using Banner, Outlook, MS Office
  • 1-2 years previous experience working in HR, On boarding and Background documentation
