Job description

Seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the front office team at our Asset Management firm to assist with portfolio management, preparation of analytical reports and presentations, portfolio analysis, asset allocation, data management, and other related tasks.

Under the direction of our CIO and portfolio managers, the successful candidate will conduct regular, scheduled as well as ad hoc quantitative analysis, producing content that will be used by other investment professionals. The ideal candidate will have had previous work experience in the financial markets with exposure to various asset classes. In addition to conducting research, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and effectively communicate and collaborate with senior investment professionals and others at the firm.

The successful Investment Analyst applicant will possess the following (although not all required):

  • A successful candidate will have 2 to 5 years' experience in the financial industry.
  • They will have strong analytical skills, a quantitative orientation, and be detail oriented.
  • The individual will be able to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills that will enable them to interact effectively with various investment professionals and other business professionals around the firm.
  • The selected candidate should possess the ability to think creatively and initiate projects that lead to improved implementation of strategies and processes while working in a team context and under established procedures.
  • The selected candidate will have strong programming skills and associated experience. Advanced knowledge of Python, R, Matlab, Excel and PowerPoint are highly sought after.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
