Job Description:

• Maintain branch ledgers and related records and compiles and verifies accuracy of computations of lower level accounting functions as well as keeping immediate staff informed of company policies, performance, and direction.
• Prepare year-end work papers for the operating companies
• Coordinate the recording and collection of all management fees;
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all properties; Verify, review, and analyze property and entity-level general ledgers on both cash and accrual basis ensuring accuracy and adherence to established accounting policies and procedures;
• Responsible for meeting all investor and lender-imposed deadlines;
• Interact with other accounting team members, asset managers, property managers and all other areas of the company to ensure prompt resolution of issues and achieve maximum efficiency of operations;
• Provide direct communication with management regarding accounting issues, and vendor payments;

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, MBA or CPA preferred;
• Strong familiarity with MRI or Yardi (we use MRI), as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
• 10+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Must have Tax and Real-Estate experience
• Proactive with the ability to manage a staff of five or more
• Strong preference for real estate development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
