Job Title: Store Manager

Location: Franklin Mills Mall, Philadelphia, PA 19154

Reports To: District Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the management of all aspects of the retail store including sales, customer service, operations, human resources, training, visual merchandising, loss prevention, and expense control.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Ensures each customer receives the highest level of customer service

HUMAN RESOURCES, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Proactively recruits. Conducts interviews, perform reference checks, and makes offers to selected individuals
  • Trains all staff.; ensures that all new hires are trained regarding store operations procedures, customer service, and product knowledge; conducts one (1) week follow-up and provides coaching and counseling if necessary
  • Regularly coaches sales associates on the selling floor

STORE OPERATION & FINANCIAL

  • Schedules staff efficiently
  • Ensures accuracy regarding merchandise that is received and shipped
  • Controls payroll budget according to plan

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong managerial skills
  • Ability to motivate staff and create in-store enthusiasm and excitement
  • Strong knowledge of company history, corporate structure, and target market
  • Knowledge of the competitors and their prices

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work varied days/hours
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 60 pounds

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience
