POSITION TITLE: Business Systems Analyst - Retail Systems
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Systems Analyst at AEO drives and informs strategic business decisions to provide technology that delights the end users of our technology products. You will support Product Managers, Product Owners and Engineering teams that build tools, features and functionality related to our omni-channel platforms and capabilities. You will oversee a mixture of requirements writing, analysis and planning across various teams and cross-functional partners to solve complex problems through technology.
Due to business growth, we have multiple opportunities available supporting technology across the retail domain to include product technology, order management and fulfillment systems, inventory systems, distribution center systems and international omni-channel retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a resource with both business and industry knowledge for defining business requirements and objectives
- Assist with prioritization within product roadmaps through setting goals and tracking progress
- Gather and interpret requirements to establish business rules, business processes, activity diagrams, use cases, test cases and training requirements from internal and external resources
- Communicate weekly status in meetings and written form showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
- Manage change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met
- Develop a deep understanding of the marketplace and competitive environment to create comprehensive competitive analysis
- Conduct market research and business intelligence analysis around new product lines and profitable opportunities
- Partner with analytics and insights teams to understand and measure the impact of product changes and new features
- Collaborate on product launch plans and servicing requirements; Participate in root cause analyses for product performance
- Champion the needs of the customer and business stakeholders throughout the execution of a project, ensuring that what is delivered meets goals and objectives
- Follow and champion Agile methodologies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of relevant experience supporting retail and/or e-commerce systems, applications and/or products
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and the software development life cycle
- Expertise writing technical business requirements and developing business rules
- Ability to research and analyze data, market needs and customer issues
- Bi-lingual - Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin capabilities to support international technology would be a plus
