Job description

Responsibilities

?

Recruiting??

? Sources, screens and recruits qualified candidates for both non-exempt and exempt level positions, up to and including Director level positions.?

? Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate applications for job fit ? using work history, education and training, salary desired, and other skills and abilities to determine qualification for employment.?

? Creates and implements process improvements, selection tools and best in class practices to improve the recruitment process (measures include time to fill, cost to hire, quality of hires, and retention rates).?

Employee Relations/Performance Management???

? Provides managers with consultation and support with Performance Management activities. Guides managers as they handle performance issues, specifically in the areas of performance improvement plans, writing and delivering effective performance reviews, creating development plans, and compensation decisions.?

? Responsible for resolving employee relations issues, working with managers and Sr. HR Manager. Will be primary point of contact for employees and managers in assigned areas. Provides guidance, conducts investigations, recommends solutions, and analyzes trends.?

? Applies and interprets policies and procedures to basic and complex employment issues. Ensures compliance to State and Federal laws. May recommend changes to policies and procedures based on business trends.?

Provide support and/or leadership on HR Project teams / Reporting???

? Provide support to the corporate HR team. This could include projects assigned by VP HR, Director HR, or working on cross functional project teams.?

? Conduct HR related research and assist with HR strategic plan preparation.?

? Serve as project lead or participant, and champion employee related initiatives as assigned.?

Training and Development??

? Conduct internal training for New Hire Orientation, interviewing skills, performance management and coaching, development planning, and other HR related topics as needed. Provide one on one coaching and career development counsel to managers and employees. Help employees with development planning and goal setting.

Requirements

? A Bachelor's degree is desired. An MBA is a plus.?

? An HR Certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM)

? 5+ years of relevant HR Generalist experience is required with experience to include non-exempt, college, and exempt/professional level recruitment.?

? The successful candidate should preferably come from some type of manufacturing or distribution environment.

? Experience in recruiting, staffing, succession planning, training and employee relations.

? Knowledge of employment law, affirmative action plans, performance management practices and disciplinary action processes in US.?
