Overview
Blooming Glen Water & Wastewater Services is seeking an experienced Foreman! Work performed in supervising a group of employees in construction and maintenance of water and wastewater lines, supervising water plant operations, and performing related work as required.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Assigns employees to specific duties.
-Supervises a work crew engaged in the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater lines.
-Performs and supervises others performing general duty plumbing and pipe fitting work such as pipe connections, laying pipe, cutting, threading, and pipe-bending.
-Operates various types of heavy and light equipment when necessary.
-Supervises the routine maintenance of tools and equipment.
-Performs other work as assigned.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
-Assist in compiling and maintaining operational and other records and reports pertaining to water and wastewater activities.
-Assist in planning and scheduling of maintenance in construction of water and wastewater lines.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
-Knowledge of maintenance of equipment.
-Knowledge of all legal regulations regarding employee health and safety.
-Knowledge of effective and efficient methods and procedures for maintenance and construction work.
-Knowledge of modern procedures of the operation of a water treatment plant.
-Knowledge of maintenance of equipment and tools.
-Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
-Ability to operate a variety of light and heavy equipment.
-Ability to plan, organizes assign, supervise, and inspect the work of subordinates.
-Ability to use the necessary tools in the performance of required skills.
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to perform pipe fitting in the maintenance and construction of water and wastewater lines.
-Ability to keep routine records and make simple reports.
-Ability to perform heavy manual labor under unfavorable climatic conditions.
-Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with both employees.
Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to:
-Graduation from a standard high school or GED;
-2 - 4 years experience in the maintenance and construction of water-and wastewater lines.
