Director of Analytics

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field. Masters helpful

10+ years of related work experience in banking, capital markets, insurance and/or wealth management data, reporting, and analytics

5+ years of experience in project management, staff leadership, and client servicing roles

Experience in establishing and executing a strategic data architecture / integration / analytics plan for financial services organization(s)

Practical experience in leading and managing teams through a data architecture / integration / analytics engagement across product life cycle - strategy, roadmap, requirements, design, development, testing, education, and launch

Experience architecting and designing large data platforms, data warehouses, streaming applications, data ingestion and distribution pipelines

Deep understanding of architectures, design patterns, and traditional data architecture / reporting practices (e.g., SQL, SSRS, etc.) as well transition to cloud platforms

Experience with cloud-related technologies and associated architecture patterns (AWS, Azure, Redshift, EMR, etc.)

Strong business interaction skills with all organizational levels including executive and board level

Strong written and verbal communication skills that translate technical and complex data issues into understandable concepts and solutions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

POSITION INCLUDES:

Serve as the senior data expert and liaison between technology, analysts, and senior leaders

Educate Univest decision makers on the value to data and how to ask questions of the data at their disposal

Emphasize the importance, role, and usage of data and analytics to better serve Univest and its stakeholders

Lead a team of data scientists and technology professionals to deliver a wide range of data, reporting, and analytics services

Define short-term and long-term roadmaps for data analytics solutions and data integration opportunities the company can leverage

Implement technologies, processes, and solutions that provide business insights commensurate with Univest's corporate goals, risk profile, and customers' needs

Lead the team in finding solutions for complex data issues and driving growth across the company's lines of business

Drive reusable and improving self-service data solutions for the company's employees

Provide subject matter expertise in defining technical and business approaches

Build strong relationships with the clients and cultivating business opportunities
