Business Development Representative (Grippy)

New Pig Direct is searching for a proactive, goal-oriented salesperson to find, develop and maintain business for emerging opportunities in multiple market segments with our Grippy products. This position requires an enthusiastic, confident, highly motivated individual who is focused on getting prospects in multiple market segments to embrace our Grippy product solution as a replacement for current practices in addition to new applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Presenting solutions/value propositions to existing and new customers to generate sales revenue
  • Representing New Pig at tradeshows as needed
  • Creating and implementing sales plans that are coordinated with the Business Leader
  • Feeding market insights back to the team to help inform and shape product development, marketing and customer satisfaction activities
  • Tracking all activities through New Pig's Activity Coding Structures by utilizing Trend (CRM)
  • Maintaining and directing the development of accounts, abiding by the New Pig core value of "satisfying our customers far beyond their expectations"
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the product line and its applicable uses
  • Proactively and continually assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs and leading solution development efforts to address those needs

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
  • Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Five years of successful experience in business-to-business sales environment
  • Ability and willingness to engage in travel up to 40%
  • Proven history of successfully growing and maintaining sales
  • Ability to communicate in an outgoing, poised and persuasive manner by utilizing in-person (live) sales presentations as well as remote GoToMeeting webinars
  • Ability to solve problems continually and creatively
  • Initiative and drive to meet sales goals
  • Focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication and verbal skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent relationship management skills
