Job description

Seeking an Sales Account Manager preferably with experience in the hard materials/metals or powders market sector. This is remote position handling clients located mainly in the Northeast, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia areas. Compensation is base plus commission.

Position Overview:Has assigned a defined portfolio of customers based on geographical distribution but also charged with generating and identifying new customer leads and account penetration. Manages each of the customer or accounts assigned, working in close relationship with marketing specialists and inside sales, to whom she/he provides specific directions, and is in constant contact with the supervisor Head of Sales Manager, in order to follow and implement the market segment strategy.

Responsibilities Would Include:

Generates and Qualifies Leads

Services existing accounts ensuring company understands customer needs.

Document/maintain the inside knowledge of customer's strategic activity including all their suppliers, share, capacities (internal/external), products, customers' customers, etc.

Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, and market trends (Import/Export Statistics) to provide direction.

Conduct market analysis for the regions of responsibility and support the whole Market Segment Analysis when needed.

C/C Matrix (Customer/Competitor) Market Client, customer Client.

Along with the Business Segment Manager and/or Customer & Product Manager, define agenda for each customer in regard to target sales, products, relationships, etc.

Respond to customer concerns - investigates problems, helps identify solutions and makes recommendations.

Customer visits - with defined agendas.

Document all customer calls and visits, via call report, through CRM.

Establish and follow up on credit and term issues.

Work with Business Segment Manager and C&P Manager to Establish Budget, Pricing, Monthly forecast with emphasis on margin Targets.

Preferred Education and Experience:

7 - 10 years of experience in a sales and/or marketing role

BS degree in Business, Marketing, Technical, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements:

Superior verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Strong specialized and/or technical abilities

Strong presentation and sales skills

Strong product and service knowledge with prior marketing experience
