Job description

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for meeting departmental goals and objectives for the engineering group. This is a Direct Placement position with a leading manufacturer located in Williamsport, PA. If you possess at least 10 years Engineering experience with 4 years being in a management role, we want to hear from you!

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Manages the staffing, budget development and control of the engineering department
Ensure department goals and objectives are met
Provide leadership, direction and mentorship to the engineering group
Write and administer performance appraisals and PIP plans as required
Assist as needed directly with customers via presentations, meetings, etc.
Establish measurements for departmental goals
Present program reviews and monthly reports
Assign job tasks to engineers and monitor progress/check for completion
Identify training for personnel with regards to policies, procedures, concurrent engineering, root cause analysis, trend charts and corrective action
Ensure equipment and materials needed are available

Requirements: BS in Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience with 4 years in a managerrole
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification highly preferred
Due to ITAR requirements, US Citizenship and security clearance required
Solid knowledge of quality assurance and control principles and practices
Experience supporting new product development processes
Leading and creating a culture of continuous improvement with demonstrated results
Implementing sustainable preventive maintenance programs
Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodology
Proficient in computer software applications
