We're looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join the team in our new plant in York, PA. If you're looking to be a part of an inspiring, energetic and entrepreneurial environment, you've found the right place!


Responsibilities :

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Participating in benefits tasks, such as claim resolutions, reconciling benefits statements, and reviewing invoices for payment
  • Processing payroll, which includes tabulating timecards and ensuring paid-time-off is tracked in the system

Record Maintenance

  • Maintaining current HR files and databases
  • Updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records
  • Maintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
  • Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exist interviews

Recruitment/New Hire Process

  • Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
  • Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
  • Orienting new employees to the organization
  • Administering new employment assessments
  • Serving as a point person for new employee questions
  • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
  • Preparing new employee files
  • Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
  • Conducting benefit enrollment process

Qualifications :

  • Must understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive employee information, including Social Security numbers, performance reviews, workplace injury reports, background checks, health-related information, pay levels
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees and with members of the management team
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role (food / beverage manufacturing industry preferred)
  • Associate degree or above (preferred)
