Ecommerce Financial Analyst

Job description

*B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting from a 4-year college or university who has proven experience in similar financial roles

*The individual will need to display the ability to effectively communicate complex problems at all levels of an organization, a proactive nature to recommend and improve processes, and be self- motivated to find and propose solutions. This individual will be highly engaged with the eCommerce team.

*Ideal candidates will be self-motivated in finding answers and proposing solutions and maintain a high level of accuracy and credibility.

*An above average level of competence and proficiency in Excel-based financial analysis and modeling is needed.

*Prior SAP and Power BI experiences is preferred.

What you need to know:

*Individual is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis of costs that reduce net sales for the eCommerce channel

*Assist in leading monthly meetings with the VP of Finance and *Director of FP&A to provide insights on eCommerce sales and expenses with comparison to prior year and forecast

*Lead monthly meetings with the VP of eCommerce and the eCommerce Senior Leadership team to report out on eCommerce sales and expenses with in-depth analysis

*Inform eCommerce business associates of financial analysis results and/or recommendations

*Keep management educated on new or changing customer programs or incentives and financial impact

*Create ad hoc analysis to investigate variances and support sales and marketing requests

*Prepare and analyze standard monthly financial reports for Finance and other departments while improving the financial reporting process

*Be a catalyst of change, collaborating with FP&A, eCommerce, and other cross-functional teams to maintain and improve strategies across the business

Then this may be the job for you! This Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support through forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis of the eCommerce business channel. Inside of FP&A and Finance, this position connects with many members and is relied on to enable business decisions. We are looking for an individual to be a trusted business partner to our eCommerce Channel leaders, including working collaboratively to evaluate customer programs, promotions, return-on-investment, and other analysis. This position provides creative independent work and includes significant involvement within dynamic cross-functional team settings. This role reports to the Finance Manager over Retail and eCommerce channels and provides visibility and influence to Sales and Finance leadership.
