Positions Summary:

Plans, organizes, and administers various human resource functions which include recruitment, compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations and performance management. Provides assistance in developing policies and designing systems for organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Develops HR programs consistent with the mission, vision and objectives of SVNRC and in accordance with local, state and federal rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assumes full management responsibility for all human resource services and activities. Recommends and administers policies and procedures.

Manages the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, policies and priorities.

Conducts recruitment efforts for all employees, participates in new employees' orientations, and writes and places job postings. Prepares all correspondence pertaining to recruitment and hiring including participating in interviewing and assisting management in the hiring process.

Responsible for oversight of payroll and related activities. Administers employee benefits programs and recommends appropriate changes.

Performs benefits administration to include claims resolutions, change reporting and communication benefit information to employees.

Coordinates COBRA benefits for eligible employees.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Maintains OSHA Accident reports. Maintains records, reports and logs pertaining to Labor and Industries claims. Administers federal, state and local regulations including Fair Labor Standards Act, OSHA and

Medical Leave Act.

Performs clerical duties as necessary.

Handles employee relations counseling as requested. Provides support and guidance to department heads and other supervisory personnel regarding personnel policies and procedures, conflict identification and resolution, disciplinary, and other sensitive personnel issues.

Coordinates employee recognition and benefits fair event.

Analyzes data to understand and improve HR metrics such as turnover, staffing and morale.

Maintains all employee records ensuring data integrity.

Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.

Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and facility needs.

Qualifications:
  • Must have an Associates or higher in HR or related field
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office
  • Must have at least 2 years experieance working in a supervisory role in Human Resources.
