Position Description Job SummaryThe Bristol, Rhode Island manufacturing facility is seeking a Plating OperatorShift Days/Hours: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11pm.This position is responsible for producing high quality plated bearings for the automotive industry, taking direction, and utilizing written procedures, work routers, written and verbal communication, and operating equipment in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required Conduct safety observations and HSE activities as required by our plant HSE program Keep a clean work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures Contribute ideas and suggestions on improvement opportunities Perform preventative maintenance on equipment Work from written procedures and work routers Follow instructions and procedures carefully Record data and report problems as they arise Weigh and dispense raw materials Operate automated equipment Report defective material or equipment problems to supervisor or engineer, as directed Ensure chemical containers are labeled with contents and hazard(s); comply with SDS Participate in hazardous waste training as requiredRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing experience Able to operate independently and as a part of a team. Basic command of the English language, written and verbal. Able to read and follow SOPs, labels, and instructions. Mathematical abilities necessary to fulfil requirements of position. Forklift experience required.
