Position Description Job SummarySaint Gobain Performance Plastics is a global leader in designing and manufacturing high performance Seals and critical parts serving a variety of customers in different market segments: Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive and Industrial and semiconductor markets and sales offices are located throughout the America's, Europe and Asia.Our specialized screening department is critical in ensuring we provide good quality parts to our customers. Individuals working in this area are responsible for screening and reworking of product according tovisual aids and or routing work instructions, customer specific requirements. Accuracy of work is critical in this area. Errors in counts, part numbers andmissed non conformances can lead to customer dissatisfaction. Employees will need to pay close attention to details and be mindful of their impact to the environment. This position will require reworking parts by use of sandpaper, buffing pads, and Dremel style drills for deburring and blending of part features. You will also be required to understand the blueprint to determine which dimensions can be affected during this rework process while remaining compliant to the customer's needs. Inspection methods may include but are not limited to digital caliper, digital micrometer, fixture gages, and go/no go pin inspections.Screener will be responsible for scrutinizing parts from each machine during production, while identifying and reporting back flaws to the operators. Must track part fallout to determine requirements in real time to complete work orders in full. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Excellent verbal/written communicationsand organizational skills Ability to perform intermediate math operations, including use of decimals,and fractions. Have a minimum of one year experience in manufacturing environment with general knowledge of machining practices. Knowledge of proper safety procedures. Position requires constant walking, occasional sitting, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, standing, lifting, twisting, grippling, arm/leg/wrist/finger movement. Frequent lifting of materials from floor to waist weighing 20 to 50 pounds.
