Entry Level IT/Maintenance Technician

Job description

We are seeking a full time IT/Maintenance Technician to work in our Lincoln, Rhode Island office.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

- Provide technical support on hardware, software, telephone and printer issues

- Resolve trouble tickets for internal staff

- Set up new hire desks with computer equipment and phone login

- Desk and office configurations

-Answer technical inquires

-Set up internal presentations that need audio and video assistance

-Troubleshoot any reported problems

- Keep the overall appearance of the office up to date

- Replace and/or fix lighting fixtures when needed

- Escalate and schedule repairs and maintenance to the heating/air conditioning unit and electricity. Checking the generator panel for any issues and warnings on a daily basis

- Cell phone set up and administration

- Warehouse duties such as unloading trucks, distributing equipment, inventory and overall warehouse structure

- Receiving

- Fulfilling orders

- Continuously learning, primarily through self-instruction and hands on training, all technologies implemented at Custom

- Providing system administration and documentation for all IT equipment, user support, and other technical functions as instructed by the Director

Requirements for the position include:

- Strong planning and coordination abilities

- Strong desk side support abilities combined with a good customer service attitude

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to learn new technologies in an expedient fashion and with minimum instruction

-Strong application usage skills in Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
