We are searching for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer - Subsea & Seabed Warfare (SSW) at our Middletown, RI location.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer III is a lead systems analyst, anetwork engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can alsomanage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybridsoftware, web and hardware products from initial specifications to finalrollout and maintenance. The systems engineer is responsible to integrate variousnetwork operating systems, application programs and hardware devices. Duties of a systems engineer typically include review of payload/platformintegration concepts and architectures, participation of trade studies,prototyping, risk reduction, requirements analysis and concept of operationsdevelopment. Candidate must be able to read and write requirementsspecifications and break down high level requirements/tasks/problems intodetailed system level requirements. Duties include review ofpayload/platform integration concepts and architectures, participation of tradestudies, prototyping, risk reduction, requirements analysis and concept ofoperations development. Systems engineersare concerned with the "big picture" of a project in addition totechnical aspects and must consider details like cost, schedules and socialissues that may be associated with a project.

Eligibility Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
Experience: 7+ years of experience is required with current experience with Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) to include Mission Electronics Subsystem (MES) and Platform Hardware Control (PHC). Candidates must be able to read and write requirements specifications and break down high level requirements/tasks/problems into detailed system level requirements. Candidate must have strong technical documentation, organizational, and communications skills. Candidate should have the ability to tailor communications to an audience ranging from high level management, senior engineers, and junior engineers. US Citizenship is required. An active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) is required at time of hire.
