We are searching for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer at our Newport, RI location.
SEACORP is a veteran-founded business based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the U.S. Navy for over 40 years. Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
SEA CORP is seeking a Systems Engineer knowledgeable of software, hardware, and operating systems to design architectural solutions for the modernization of robust legacy DoD systems. The integration specialist will analyze software components, networking, hardware requirements, version control architecture and delivery processes to streamline for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery. Knowledge of Container and Virtualization architectures, Kubernetes, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Automated Test Tools, multi-host container networking, and Pair-Wise communication protocols are highly desirable.
Successful candidates will have strong engineering, software architecture, hardware, networking, and operating system knowledge. These skills will be employed to develop a balanced approach to decouple components but still meet performance requirements. With the use of DoD specialized hardware components, direct hardware access, paravirtualization or other techniques are often required to meet performance requirements. Successful candidates will establish or improve existing development environments in which development is performed within a hardened environment to retain Information Assurance and Data security.

Education: A Bachelors Level Degree in an Engineering Discipline, Mathematics or Computer Science is required.
Experience: 7+ years of related experience is required. Knowledge of Container and Virtualization architectures, Kubernetes, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Automated Test Tools, multi-host container networking, and Pair-Wise communication protocols are highly desirable.Successful candidates will have strong engineering, software architecture, hardware, networking, and operating system knowledge.
