Job description
The position provides workforce insights to enable Bob's to make better data-driven talent management decisions. The role is responsible for analyzing the current HR business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency, and simplification, assisting in the creation and implementation of process and policy improvements while sustaining the improvement. To achieve the level of improvement necessary for success, the individual in this position needs to collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. This role will also provide consultative and analytics support to multiple HR COE's. Moreover, this position is required to work with various data sources to write formulas/code in Excel, Power BI, SQL that would allow the analysis and measurement of the success of projects and process excellence activities.
Job Responsibilities
● Creates data collection plans for HR actions, including defining metrics, data collection methods, frequency of collection, data source, etc. utilizing pivot tables, formulas, graphs, charts, multi-logic formulas, and statements using MS Excel and Power BI
● Able to define and collect specifications to then develop reports, dashboard and/or other products using analytic platforms
● Collaborate closely with HR business partners and act as a consultant and technical thought leader in the application of advanced analytics and AI
● Develop analytic capabilities (e.g., models and processes) that improve employee experience and engagement, increase employee retention as well as provide data driven and compassionate guidance to leadership
● Create analysis to explain data findings; create presentations to educate others and develop action plan to address identified areas of change
● Collaborate with others to review and analyze existing HR processes and workflows; to determine areas of potential risk and opportunities for improvements.
● Partners with others to design and implement approaches to minimize risk to the organization
● Based on analysis create policies, procedures, trainings, and other solutions to respond to identified opportunities
● Develops internal audit programs to ensure the adoption of process improvements
● Collects and interprets statistical data on the progress and success of HR projects, cases, and call
● Responsible for the completion of regulatory filings including but not limited to EEO-1, California Fair Pay requirements, etc.
● Provide advice and direction to other HR partners in the areas of HR compliance, policy interpretation and regulatory compliance. Tracks issues and looks at broader picture of opportunities for education, policy changes, etc.
Competencies
● Strong technical foundation and experience in applying knowledge to develop reporting and analysis solutions from multiple data sources using the best application/tool for the job.
● Bachelor's degree in human resources, statistics, math, science, engineering, economics, business, or health administration or equivalent experience or equivalent experience.
● Minimum of two years of experience in an HR role with demonstrated knowledge of creating and implementing policies and process, change management, HR regulatory issues and compliance
● Minimum of three years' experience providing human capital analytics services at a medium or larger size organization.
● Strong Excel skills a must - fluency with formulas such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, sumifs, countifs, min, max, average arrays
● Highly skilled in business intelligence tools including SQL, Power BI, or other analytics software with a thorough understanding of date and systems infrastructures, prior experience with Workday a plus.
● Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
● Must be willing to work in a highly collaborative environment, managing multiple competing priorities and assignments
● Strong problem solving, consultative and analytical skills are required
● Ability to work independently
● Minimum of two years' experience with Power BI as a developer is highly preferred
● Training design and facilitation experience a plus.
● Strong acumen to describe/explain highly technical solutions to non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
● Ability to translate analysis into key takeaways that are relevant to the end user.
● Ability to maintain data confidentiality

Work Environment
This is an office-based position that has the possibility of a remote work situation with occasional visits to the office.
Physical Demands
This is an office-based position that would require: Sitting, standing, reading, oral and written communication, computer input.
Expected Hours of Work and Travel
This is a 40-hour position that would be expected to be available to work Monday -Friday from 8:30-5:30. This position may require additional hours to complete deadline and address critical issues that may arise.
Required Education and Experience
● Minimum education - BA or related experience.
● 2+ years Human Resources experience
● 2+ years analytics experience
● Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required
● Strong Excel skills a must - fluency with formulas such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, sumifs, countifs, min, max, average arrays
● Comfortable learning and navigating through systems, prior experience with HRIS a plus
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Strong attention to detail and process orientation
● Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills and client service focus
● Superior judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
● Out of the box thinker, proven ability to conceptualize solutions to complex problems.

● Understanding of employment/regulatory laws
Preferred Education and Experience
● Preferred education - Advance degree in the fields of statistics, I/O psychology, computer science, Human Resources, or math
● Prior experience with Workday a plus
● Experience with Power BI is preferred
● Training design and facilitation experience a plus.
