We specialize in sports injuries, spinal, orthopedic and post-surgical conditions, as well as create a variety of strength, fitness and wellness strategies to help patients heal fully and quickly. Such strategies include women's and men's pelvic health, a runner's program, pediatrics, oncology, dry needling, occupational health, hand therapy, athletic training, arthritis, balance disorders, aquatics, fitness, sports performance and prevention programs. With the largest number of board-certified physical therapists in the state of Rhode Island, Performance is the leader in the health care community throughout Rhode Island and SE Massachusetts.

Schedule/Compensation: Performance Physical Therapy's hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:30pm, Saturday 8:00-2:00pm, $15.00 hourly.
The Exercise Specialist is a non-licensed caregiver who works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and or Assistant to aide in the provision of patient care. Specifics of this position will vary depending on experience and competencies demonstrated.

Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms and gym area and washing and folding laundry
Assist clinical staff with patient intervention following plan of care as directed by the PT or PTA. Level of assistance will depend on aides competencies and payers guidelines. Treatment may include; exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, aquatic therapy, modalities, and education on posture, ergonomics, ADL's and body mechanics
Document exercise on patient flow sheet
Communicate with physical therapist or assistant patients response to intervention
Communicates with potential referral sources to expand existing business and cultivate new business
Assist administrative staff as directed by clinic director
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma required with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field strongly preferred.
