The Team

The ideal candidate we are seeking must be passionate about cutting edge technologies with a proven background in software development, software quality engineering, Agile/Scrum, test-driven development, continuous integration, automated testing. This associate will act as our team's test automation lead, ensuring that we have high application quality through the development and execution of our institutional.fidelity.com automated regression suite. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Software Engineering or Quality Assurance roles
  • Proven technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer working across a diverse range of applications, and multiple layers of a technology stack
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience

The Skills You Bring

  • Previous quality software engineering practice experience.
  • Deep understanding of manual and automated testing concepts, including behavior driven development (BDD).
  • Active Experience with Agile testing methodologies including ATDD and TDD.
  • Proven understanding of software development process.
  • Strong Object-Oriented Programming Skills.
  • Proven analytical and communication skills, ability to efficiently work with both technical and non-technical resources.
  • Extensive Experience with Java/JEE and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Selenium using Java or JavaScript, and Cucumber BDD framework.
  • Service testing experience preferably with Karate and/or REST Assured frameworks, experience with SOATest or SoapUI acceptable.
  • Recent Experience using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins Build Server, Maven, Git/Stash, etc.

Preferred Experience

Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Stash, Confluence, etc.). Experience with UI testing frameworks (i.e. Galen, PhantomCSS, etc.). SQL skills. Experience with service virtualization tools: WireMock, ParaSoft virtualize, or other. Knowledge on Content Management System platform (CMS) such as Sitecore, Documentum, etc.

The Value You Deliver

Provide automation solutions for large scale projects from an end to end perspective including front end, middle tier services and back end data providers. Assist and lead FIBET Digital Solutions automation initiatives. Participate in scrum activities such as test coverage reviews, story grooming sessions, and sprint planning. Design structured test cases using system modeling techniques. Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts. Perform functional, integration, and system testing. Document, maintain, and monitor software problems. Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test process. You work phenomenally on a team and as well as an individual contributor.
