- Responsible for the procurement of direct materials and components for global suppliers within the assigned category.
- Oversee all aspects of the Bosch-Supplier relationship including, but not limited to, commercial, risk management, legal, quality, and delivery topics.
- Leads complex negotiations with suppliers and internal parties to achieve annual price reduction targets and other business objectives.
- Responsible for sourcing new components through RFQ preparation, tracking the status of offers, analyzing quotations, negotiating all terms with suppliers, and making supplier sourcing proposals aligned with the global category strategy.
- Constantly stay apprised of national and international economic, legal, or business situations as they affect purchasing and supply chain decisions for the assigned categories and suppliers. Implement measures that address these issues as they relate to the assigned category and suppliers.
- Administer all contractual requirements with the assigned suppliers (purchase orders, pricing contracts, other commercial agreements).
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, manufacturing plants, and the global Bosch organization.
- Actively leads CIP efforts and supports achieving the departmental goals and objectives.
- Maintain all necessary IT systems and prepare regular inputs into the forecasting and business planning processes.
- Serves as a subject matter expert to others in Purchasing.
- Visit assigned suppliers on a regular basis within and outside N. America (travel requirement usually doesn't exceed 10-15%).
- Perform additional assignments as necessary.

- Bachelor's Degree (Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering related degree preferred).
- Minimum years of relevant work experience: 3-5 years.
- Excellent business sense and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated comfort level in technical and manufacturing environments.
- Proven communication and negotiation skills.
- IT systems maintenance and reporting.
- Attention to detail, assertiveness, and proactive leadership mind-set.
Preferred Skills:
- German or Spanish language abilities.
- Strong interest in digitalization topics (data analytics, UX, programming)
