Job description

Meeting at Market, an upscale pub for sporting enthusiasts. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the historic City Market, the pub offers a sophisticated yet relaxed viewing environment with multiple flat screen televisions, cozy banquettes and high top tables. Meeting at Markets menu includes 20 rotating craft beers complimented by elevated bar fare like Duck Confit Sliders and Fish and Chips. Located inside of Belmond Charleston Place, Meeting at Market delivers superior service in a social, congenial setting.

Requirements

Must have the ability to mix alcoholic beverages in accordance with proper mixology. Previous experience required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

* Deliver excellent service to our guests meeting AAA five diamond and Mobil five star requirements.
* Must display professional demeanor at all times.
* Must have excellent floor presence and display hospitality.
* Be pleasant, smile, and greet all guests, using surnames when possible.
* Attend to and anticipate guests needs.
* Maintain stock at appropriate levels and complete all side work.
* Polish, clean, and complete general side work as required.
* Ensure bar is clean and arranged according to specifications.
* Strive to continuously improve the department in image, appearance and grooming.
* Operate the POS System and complete accompanying paperwork and cash handling procedures.
* Assist in other areas as needed.

Ability to communicate in English with hotel guests, suppliers, and employees to their understanding. Ability to provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests. Ability to access, input and retrieve information on the computer system. Ability to calculate. Ability to work independently and exercise judgment to resolve personnel and production issues that arise during daily operations. Ability to handle the stress inherent in overseeing operations, interacting with co-employees and resolving guest problems. Ability work under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others. Strong positive attitude and ability to initiate light conversation with guests. Ability to provide legible communication. Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner. Additional foreign language skills a plus.
