Meeting at Market, an upscale pub for sporting enthusiasts. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the historic City Market, the pub offers a sophisticated yet relaxed viewing environment with multiple flat screen televisions, cozy banquettes and high top tables. Meeting at Markets menu includes 20 rotating craft beers complimented by elevated bar fare like Duck Confit Sliders and Fish and Chips. Located inside of Belmond Charleston Place, Meeting at Market delivers superior service in a social, congenial setting.

To ensure friendly guest service at all times and to maintain a clean, professional top quality bar. This position will also act as a server when necessary. The restaurant is open 365 days a year and thus, weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Requirements

* Responsible for set up, service, clean up, and close/lock up all bar-related items
* Adhere to predefined drink service guidelines and responsible for continual beverage familiarization
* Implements beverage service for bar and tables
* Perform any other duties assigned by management, to include departmental cleaning and inventory
* Maintain a neat and professional appearance
* Maintain an awareness of liquor costs and minimize waste which may raise them
* Must be familiar with all policies related to liquor liability laws
* Must have full familiarity of all hotel menus
* Must be familiar with all revenue-related procedures, POS system and daily accounting procedures
* Must serve all guests in consistent manner per our standards
* Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds (kegs, gas cylinders)
* Use utilities and resources in a responsible manner to control wastage.
* Communicate relevant information to the department, your line manager and across departments, as appropriate.
* Comply with safe working practices, Health and Safety policy and ensure accidents/defects are reported immediately.
* Attend learning and development courses and complete eLearning modules, as required.
* Demonstrate and be a role model of Belmonds core values of Care, Confidence, Curiosity and Community.
