TuSimple Simulation Team is one of the core forces that accelerates the process of autonomous truck development. We provide powerful, efficient, and safe testing environments to help validate, verify and benchmark the overall performance of self-driving technology.You will work on both the back-end infrastructure and front-end web UIs of projects related to benchmarking the entire self-driving stack. Your work will greatly improve the efficiency of the research of our algorithm scientists.Role Responsibilities:Lead a team of engineers to design and build a platform to analyze and evaluate every part of the self-driving stack, including pipelines and the web frontendDevelop on-premises cluster projects as well as utilizing public cloud computing infrastructure servicesBuild web-based tools to optimize manual workflows such as test cases design and result in analysisProactively identify problems and make technical suggestions on requirementsExperience & Skills Required:5-7 years experience building full-stack web applicationsAt least 2 years experience managing a high-performing teamExcellent skills in architecture designProven ability to coach/mentor junior engineersExperience with modern JavaScript development, with frameworks such as Node.js/npm, Vue.js, react.js, etcExperience with web frameworks such as Flask and DjangoExperience with cloud services, such as AWSExcellent knowledge of different API mechanisms such as REST and RPC/gRPCExperience in developing extensible APIs and highly maintainable servicesExcellent knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, Dynamodb, MongoDBPassionate about discovering drawbacks of existing systems and working with users to improve their experienceBS/MS in Computer Science or related fieldPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience with creative and intuitive data visualization (eg, D3.js)Development experience in large-scale data storage and processingPassionate about self-driving vehiclesTuSimple Benefits100% employer-paid healthcare premiums for you and your familyWork visa sponsorship availableRelocation assistance availableBreakfast, lunch, and dinner served every dayFull kitchens on every floor with unlimited snacks, drinks, special treats, fruits, meals, and moreStock options / equityGym membership reimbursementMonthly team building budgetLearning/education budgetEmployer-paid life insuranceEmployer-paid long and short disabilityTuSimple is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
