The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.
The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo's risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.
The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.
Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.
The Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) organization, within Data Management and Insights (DMI), partners across all businesses and enterprise functions to define requirements and priorities for enterprise data platforms, and by working closely with Wells Fargo Technology to define and execute platform roadmaps. This also includes the delivery of services such as data quality monitoring, testing services, business enablement services, etc. for enterprise data platform users.
The Position
Data Quality Implementation team within EDP is responsible for developing and deploying data quality monitoring practices, in alignment with the Enterprise Data Strategy, leveraging industry-wide standards and internal company policies to enable sound decision making by improving data quality through consistent measurement and monitoring across strategic applications.
This role will report to the Data Management Manager and will be responsible for implementation of Data Quality for various applications across different data domains. This role will also help with on-boarding new application for DQ monitoring and reporting on all Enterprise Data Quality Monitoring (eDQM) initiatives to ensure that the eDQM team is achieving its implementation objectives in accordance with established timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for leading a team of Data Management professionals (managers and individual contributors) to drive and manage the design, development, implementation and monitoring of data quality rules across multiple data domains, including:
- Partner with BDL (Business Domain Leader), ABO (Application Business Owner) and Tech teams to ensure that data quality deliverables are met in the compliance with policy and standards
- Lead business partner engagement on the DQ processes, templates and procedures, and drive enterprise-wide consistency and adoption.
- Deliver superior customer experience by developing and understanding customer journey, and addressing customer feedback and/or pain points
- Drive higher maturity of Data Quality practices through identification and implementation of value-added business focused DQ controls
- Provide leadership to revisit and redesign the current DQ processes, templates and procedures to drive simplification, consistency, efficiencies and address business partners' feedback.
- Participate in the industry benchmarking initiatives, and leverage industry best practices to create world class DQ practices
- Understand the enterprise risk management framework, and ensure Data Quality processes are appropriately reflected
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data management policy and requirements
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis
- 4+ years of management experience
- 8 + years of direct report management experience including, but not limited to, assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations and determining salary adjustments
- 5+ years of experience in developing data quality rules
- 6+ years of financial services industry experience
- 5+ years of process design or improvement experience
