Our Greenville, SC location is looking for an Associate Financial Advisor who will work with the senior advisors and team to prepare for and conduct meetings, complete analysis, provide financial advice and strategy to empower clients to achieve their financial goals. The AFA will assist all team members so that services are provided in a manner that meets the expectations communicated to the client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the financial advisory team to actively manage and service client relationships of our Private Client Group, Corporate Consulting, Private Family Office, and Retirement Plan divisions:
Learn and practice ASE client relationship principles by evaluating client financial needs, goals, challenges, current holdings and current capital and help them identify, structure, and implement investment objectives.
Assist the Financial Advisor during client meetings and with follow-up
- Take meeting notes and promptly enter into CRM
- Present financial advice or plan to client with the Financial Advisor
- Meet with client to obtain additional planning information or to clarify/confirm information provided
- Analyze client's current investments and insurance policies
- Willingness to transition to Lead Advisor Role with assigned clients
- Place trades and account management
Prepare Strategy Meetings as required by the team
- Systematize the review process utilizing the CRM systems and ASE Process™
- Gather, enter, and analyze data for client strategy meetings
- Update and create financial plans for clients as required by the team
- Analyze a clients' financial data in light of their financial goals
- Meet or call clients to obtain any additional planning information or clarify/confirm information provided
- Prepare client information to present to the Strategy Team
Participate in ASE Financial Advisory Group trainings, educational events, coaching programs, and proficient in advisor/client facing technology. Adherence to the ASE Financial Advisory Group s Corporate Communication Strategy and in good compliance standing.
Position Requirements
- Requires a 4-year degree; business, finance, economics preferred
- Provide a high level of client service with a strong focus with a fiduciary mindset
- Advanced designation or willing to work toward obtaining (CFP, CPA, MBA, etc.)
- Possess or successfully pass industry licensing requirements Series 65 or Series 7, 66 within 90 days of hire
- Possess or successfully pass Insurance Licenses within 6 months of hire
- 2+ years of experience within the wealth management industry
- Ability to lead and successfully manage client relationships
- Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral & written)
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at once
- Demonstrate persistence in the face of obstacles and maintain optimism in the face of challenges
- Leverage technology for maximum effectiveness
- Accept feedback and lead calmly and effectively in high stress situations
- Effectively communicate portfolio results while preserving client loyalty
OSHA Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, file documents in high or low cabinets, to use the telephone and to use the computer systems.
