Our client has a need for a Buyer. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Buyer will include:

  • Compensation (Range): 23-25/ hour
  • Negotiate prices, terms, delivery, and conditions of purchase from suppliers for a variety of assigned commodities.
  • Implement controls to follow up purchase order, issue change notices, and catalog suppliers' prices and quotations in an efficient manner.
  • Request and analyze bids and approve suppliers.
  • Coordinate communication between engineering, operating departments and suppliers.
  • Prepare Purchasing Department reports and reviews.
  • Support the timely availability and procurement of required materials within the current inventory guidelines by placing POs on time and expediting delivery. B. Locate and select new and alternate sources of supply to meet the production requirements of the plant. C. Establish and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with vendors and suppliers for all necessary information.
  • Award and administer purchase orders and agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage alliances with key suppliers.
  • Work with facility design engineers to support significant manufacturing project builds. G. Perform other related activities and special projects as assigned
  • Support corporate commodity managers on cost reduction programs.
  • Support supplier quality team through participation in the APQP/PPAP qualification process.
  • Support cycle counts for specific brands and / or MRO products and help support annual physical inventory.

Job Requirements

As a Buyer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 3+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business Admin, Materials Planning or related field
