DescriptionLumber Multi-OperatorGeorgia-Pacific is seeking experienced manufacturing employees for the Lumber Multi-Operator role in our Prosperity, SC Lumber Mill. Lumber Multi-Operator operates lumber production equipment on one or more machine centers. The equipment may include automated saws, scanners, bundlers, sorter trimmers as well as associated transfer forklifts & lumber handling equipment. If you want to be a part of a team that works safely, produces a quality product, and provides ongoing learning opportunities, this may be the job for you!What You Will Do In Your RolePerforming operator care duties and minor maintenance tasks to include but not limited to lubrication dutiesWorking throughout the mill to safely meet production and quality goalsLearning multiple operator functions in your departmentAdhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures while proactively seeking out potential safety hazardsPerforming detailed housekeeping to keep machinery functioning properly and to maintain the appearance of the plantWorking any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as neededWorking in a hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environmentMaintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobsPerforming tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a dayThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:At least two (2) years of manufacturing experience or have worked in a work environment that includes but is not limited to: farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, construction, etc.High School Diploma or GEDWhat Will Put You AheadExperience driving and operating a forklift in a production environmentExperience working in lumber or wood productsExperience troubleshooting equipmentExperience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functionsSalary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.Equal Opportunity Employer.Except where prohibited by state law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test.This employer uses E-Verify.
