Job description

A local distribution company is looking to hire a Purchasing Coordinator for their Greenville location.

In this key role, the Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for selecting, planning and buying goods, materials and services. In this role, candidates will monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization and also re-evaluate and fine new vendors to drive cost savings and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Create intercompany transfers to maintain proper inventory levels at all locations
  • Create and Monitor purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Create new items and update existing items as needed
  • Contact Suppliers to resolve price, quality, or delivery issues
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels by reviewing and adjusting stocking levels adhering to storage capacities and actual usage.
  • Work with Director of Marketing on ongoing projects and tasks as needed.

Pay: $50,000 annually

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, Full-time
