Our Internship program is designed to give students experience with projects and performing tasks within their hired work area. You will be exposed to other areas within the organization by participating in development, culture and volunteer events. This paid internship is 8-10 weeks in length with the possibility of extending hours into the school year.
Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.
What we are looking for:
Provide a unique experience allowing an individual to gain exposure to a corporate environment and learn all Human Resources (HR) functions such as Benefits, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Organizational Development.

Create and assist with communications, marketing and coordination of initiatives
Research trending benefit electives such as paternity leave
Learn and support the application of Leave of Absence and Family Medical Leave Act policies - Performance Management
Revise job descriptions by partnering with Leaders and researching market data
Research, evaluate and identify current and future compensation surveys in which to participate
Create database/spreadsheet to manage sales incentive plans
Research and update all required state employment law postings for company postings, handbooks, policies - Talent Acquisition
Observe and support talent acquisition initiatives - specifically the internship program, social ambassador program, and social media sourcing strategy
Update Talent Acquisition procedures
Observe and support day to day Talent Acquisition activity including, but not limited to sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding - Learning & Organizational Development
Exposure to and support of culture-driven initiatives including engagement survey, new hire onboarding program, etc.
Collaborate to redesign existing programs specifically converting existing training to elearning
Gain exposure in a learning management system by setting up classes, managing rosters, and running reports - HR Advisors
Support new hire training program including communications and tracking
Observe and support day to day tasks as questions are received
Gain awareness of HR technology and how it can be used to support the business and assist in making data-driven decisions
Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Business, Communication Studies, Human Resources, and Management
- Demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or civic engagement in high school and college
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be acceptable of change, collaborate with teammates and business partners, and effectively prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned
- Motivated, detail-oriented individual that understands the importance of clear communication and who is willing to provide input and recommendations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Effective use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
- Availability to work 10-15 hours a week during our core business hours during the school year with the ability to work 40 hours during the summer (May-August)
