**Overview:**


Reporting to the HR Manager, the Athens Sr. HR Generalist is a critical position for our 500 plus employee Seat Structures & Mechanism facility. This role is responsible for executing the people strategy that aligns with the local business objectives, so that the organization attracts, manages, develops and retains the best employees it needs for its long-term success. In this role, you will support the plant's supervisory team and drive positive employee relations across the shifts.


**Core Responsibilities:**


+ Work with leaders and employees to build and maintain a positive employee relations environment


+ Support local leadership in the execution of policy interpretation and enforcement execution


+ Organize and implement the recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of newly hired, transferred, or promoted team members


+ Organizes and conducts all new hire orientation; creates a positive first impression of the company and serves as a role model for Adient values


+ Inputs and maintains employee data in the HRIS system such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for reporting. Prepares regular and special reports using HRIS.


+ Make diversity a priority to drive best in class representation, an inclusive culture, and differentiated business results


+ Coordinate the implementation and results of performance management tools within the organization


+ Assure compliance with all laws, wage and hour requirements, affirmative action needs, equal opportunity legislation, as well as all other team member related requirements


+ Establish and maintain accurate personnel employment records which fulfill legal, corporate, and general business requirements for pertinent up-to-date team member information


+ Assure equitable, motivating wage and salary administration procedures


+ Administer the Company's various benefit and wellness programs


+ Identify, plan, and conduct or coordinate training programs, seminars, etc. which are designed to develop a high degree of competency, performance, and commitment at all team member levels


+ Partner with local health & safety in medical management, conducting aggressive safety/accident prevention programs, maintain good housekeeping, and promote use of safety equipment


+ Establishing relationships with local medical facilities, reporting and maintaining complete and accurate records of injuries, as assuring compliance with OSHA and workers' compensation regulations


+ All other duties as assigned


**Basic Qualifications:**


+ Bachelor's Degree is required; Majored in Industrial Relations, Statistics, Business Administration or related fields are preferred


+ 3 years experience of HR Generalist experience required, experience in an operations setting preferred


+ Knowledge and experience in HR programs and practices


+ Ability to make independent decisions


+ Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information


+ Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization


+ Strong written and verbal communication skills


+ Strong analytical skills with an ability to navigate/leverage HR systems for analysis
