Job description
Job Duties: -
Acts as project leader on new client startups to define and document operational process flow, along with procedural definition of key functional activities
Identifies business standards and requirements for the market lines, working closely with senior leaders to define components necessary to implement new business within the market
Defines and proposes recommendations to streamline and standardize processes, to minimize complexity and training effort and to eliminate duplication
Recommends areas of improvement on existing processes, systems, and workflows in current business processes
Works with department heads to advise and facilitate on development of tactical methodologies for change management and implementation
Champions the standardization of process documentation nomenclature and adherence to process documentation standards
Develops and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure service levels are achieved and that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
Leads a Process Management team focused on effective execution of processes while working with various internal and external stakeholders
Interprets and comprehends technical documents describing process flows, procedures, and work instructions
Ensures appropriate documentation and training have been successfully completed prior to transition from implementation to go-live
Creates and maintains maps of highly complex business processes including Operational flow, control points, cross-functional interactions, compliance and requirements components, process training documentation, and system interfaces
Creates and maintains operational procedure work instructions and visual aides
Ensures operational procedure documents and document control meets compliance standards
Assists in conducting periodic audits of processes to measure effectiveness and compliance; initiates and tracks corrective measures in case of observed negative trends
Other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years experience in process or operations and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and industry standards used in supply chain and/or warehousing
Travel up to 60% required
Command knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project
CSPE, PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to present information and respond to questions from management
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to organize and manage multiple technical projects
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
