DescriptionForklift OperatorGeorgia-Pacific is now hiring for Forklift Operators at our corrugated packaging facility in Cleveland, Tennessee. Current openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shift, although candidates should be able to work all 3 shifts. Successful candidates for this role must be available to work should to be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays if necessary.2nd Shift Hours: 3PM - 11PM (Shift Differential $0.27/hr)3rd Shift Hours: 11PM - 7AM (Shift Differential $0.35/hr)Georgia-Pacific is one of the nation's leading corrugated box manufacturers. We manufacture standard corrugated containers, as well as many specialty packaging products for various industries.What You Will Do In Your RoleSafely operate a forklift and/or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, or transporting products in a high traffic environmentConduct required pre-operating safety checks on your forkliftWork cooperatively and productively with supervisor and other associates to complete tasksFollow company safety policies and procedures, as well as encourage other associates to do the samePerform work in an industrial environmentMaintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipmentThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:One (1) year or more experience operating a sit-down forklift in a shipping and receiving, loading, production, or manufacturing environmentWilling to work any shift, including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededWilling to work in an industrial environmentMust maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, which includes wearing all required PPE/safety equipmentProficient in using computers/tabletsAbility to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environmentWhat Will Put You AheadHigh school diploma or GEDTwo (2) or more years experience operating a sit-down forklift in a shipping and receiving, loading, production, or manufacturing environmentPrevious experience working in a corrugated facility or box plantPrevious experience using Kiwiplan or any other Corrugator Scheduling SystemIND-GP-OPSSalary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.Equal Opportunity Employer.Except where prohibited by state law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test.This employer uses E-Verify.
