Pay Grade

Pay grade 6, 8 or 9 depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. other hours as needed

Job Summary

The Compensation Analyst conducts research into compensation related data to gain insights for various projects and initiatives at McKee Foods. This position also assists in the development, implementation and administration of various compensation related processes and programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, analyze and evaluate market data to make recommendations for compensation plans and programs
  • Work with managers to understand current and new roles to determine appropriate salary pay grades, and conduct job evaluations for compensation purposes
  • Gather and provide data to managers for compensation benchmarking
  • Draw conclusions from the data, create presentations, and present to business leaders for approval
  • Monitor compensation industry trends and related legislation and/or regulatory changes
  • Lead implementation or problem-solving project teams
  • Develop reports and analysis using salary.com or reports from Workday
  • Lead further build out and implementation of salary.com
  • Assist with analysis, design and maintenance of hourly pay processes
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors for compensation studies
  • Identify ways to improve and automate processes and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Three years of experience in compensation analysis or related field
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with all levels throughout the organization
  • High level of confidentiality (ability to be trained and certified as HIPAA privacy compliant)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to influence others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong grammatical, composition and editing skills
  • Very high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to initiate, compose, transcribe and edit to produce high-quality documents and correspondence
  • Ability to manage outside vendors toward completion of compensation studies
  • Ability to implement compensation related software and recommend ideas for improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Five or more years of compensation analysis experience
  • Lean or process improvement experience
  • Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
  • Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems
