Best known for Little Debbie® snack cakes, America's leading snack cake brand, Sunbelt Bakery® granola products, and Drake's Cakes®, McKee Foods Corporation is seeking a Systems Support Intern to join our Technical Services Team. This position will receive guidance from the Technical Services Management Team and Technical Services Analyst(s), as he/she learns the support function from the inside of a leading snack-food manufacturer. Starting immediately, the ideal candidate will learn with us throughout his/her college career. The internship will be year-round and preferably a minimum of six months . Candidates must live within commuting distance to Collegedale, Tennessee.

Schedule


Sunday - Friday, flexible work schedule with hours varying between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m based on student availability and business need. (Approximately 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 28 hours per week during summer months and school breaks ).

Job Summary

This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced team of Food Safety & Quality professionals. The Systems Support Intern will be an active part of the team that helps create and manage systems to streamline both the department and T/S supported teams. You will learn to provide support in the daily management of Microsoft programs and SharePoint sites, as well as create new methods of communication and reorganization. We'll be excited to teach you the ins and outs of supporting a department that focuses on the Food Safety and Quality of our products and how our infrastructure and systems play a major role in supporting the organization.   • Design and manage multiple SharePoint sites
  • Create and manage procedures
  • Participates in and helps promote departmental standardization
  • Assist with company-wide electronic form systems

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a BS or MS degree program in Computer science, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a Food Science related field with exceptional computer programs ability. May be a recent graduate having completed college within the last 6 months prior to application.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to clearly document procedures
  • Strong problem-solving, trouble-shooting and analytical skills
  • High level of initiative, assertiveness and self-direction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn quickly and develop new skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior technical support experience
  • 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Experience with Visual Basic and Microsoft Outlook
  • Development experience with SharePoint
