We are looking for an HR Manager to help lead efforts in growing our affiliate. You will play a meaningful role in finding and hiring the people who align with our affiliate goals and culture. You will have the opportunity to define and drive the strategic direction of our hiring teams as the affiliate grows to meet new demands. You will use your deep experience in full-cycle recruiting to lead, mentor and train a solid and high-performing employee base.

Responsibilities for HR Manager

* Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to strategic plan requirements.
* Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, salary changes, 90 day and annual review documents as well as termination letters and procedure manuals.
* Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
* Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.
* Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities.
* Coordinating with Leadership to evaluate employee performance and adjust pay scale accordingly.

In coordination with Leadership, taking appropriate disciplinary action as needed for rule violations as well as addressing employee grievances.

* Oversee Workers Compensation Plan including annual audit and managing incidents.

Manage all aspects of employee benefits including but not necessarily limited to, Health, Dental, Vision, HSA and Simple IRA.

* Responsible for bi-weekly payroll.
* Responsible for all aspects of unemployment claims and filings.

Qualifications for HR Manager

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.
* Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
* Leadership and coaching skills.
* Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
* A track record with sourcing, recruiting and closing extraordinary talent.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Positive workplace presence.
* Non-profit experience is a plus.
* Three to Five years (3-5) years progressive human resources generalist.
* Four year (4) Human Resources or Business Degree.
