We need a sharp and nimble Vice President, Business Development! This position can be remote. Some availability during Eastern and Central business hours may be needed at times.

Job Summary:

Senior sales position focused on solution selling PopHealthCare's portfolio of products to new and existing accounts. The role requires the ability to identify opportunities, qualify prospects, develop proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals in an effective and efficient manner. The Vice President, Business Development must have the ability to understand business needs of health plans and other risk bearing entities, develop relationships with business and clinical executives and map PopHealthCare's solutions to the customer's needs to achieve desired financial and clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the evolving healthcare market, first-hand knowledge of health plan operations and what drives decision making. In addition, the ability to network at all levels of an organization is critical in this role.

This is a remote position that must be within a reasonable travel time to a major airport hub.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Drive business results through cultivating an active prospect list, strategy, and action plan for new sales and cross-selling of existing clients
  • Manage and close sales opportunities through accurate forecasting, account and opportunity planning, account resource allocation and opportunity management
  • Lead the cultivation and closing of strategic deals by: leading and supporting internal team members, creating and driving win strategy, cultivating client and prospects, creating presentation and leading presentation thereof, ownership of RFP to include support of the strategy and the writing of it.
  • Lead internal collaboration to integrate contract requirements with operational capabilities
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing clients at all levels that result in opportunities, market insights, and/or direct product feedback
  • Cultivate and maintain in-depth knowledge of the key players and competitive landscape in PopHealthCare's target markets
  • Develop a strong understanding of PopHealthCare's current products and provide field based insight into evolving these products to stay current with customer needs and competing organizations

Qualifications
  • 5-10 years' experience handling a complex sales process in the healthcare industry
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Contract negotiation skills (pricing, terms, SLAs)
  • Confident, assertive, results driven, strong organizational skills and self-starter
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • BS, BA or Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Preferred experience would include outside sales management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in a Health Plan Operations function desired
  • Demonstrated process or efficiency management
  • Strong Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint experience required, Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to manage change
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage/Medicaid/ACA and/or clinical standards of practice preferred.
