BANK REO Bank Property Asset Manager

Apex Bank is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a current job opening for a Project/Asset Manager/Estimator in relation to the Rehabilitation and Remarketing of Bank Assets. Apex Bank operates traditional bank branches and is a national mortgage servicer. The current opening is located in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Job Description

The Project/Asset Manager/Estimator will oversee all the duties associated with the proper handling of a national portfolio of Bank Assets. The Project Estimator/Manager will coordinate all efforts of each project from our Knoxville office through the use of phone calls, emails, and photos.

• The ideal candidate will have a combination of some or all of the following skills or experience.
• Construction
• Rehab
• Real Estate Marketing
• Engineering
• Lease facilitation
• Home Inspection
• Construction project management and estimation
• Property Management
• Basic Real Estate knowledge

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assess asset condition and create a rehab plan based on market conditions and Realtor input.

· Interview and hire contractors and other vendors to perform the necessary steps to complete rehab projects.

· Utilize a local Realtor to assist with the marketing and selling process.

· Be able to effectively communicate and provide concise detailed notes within the project tracking system .

· Work with other team members within the Department toward common goals.

· Provide management with required reporting on a weekly and monthly level.

· Other duties as assigned

Job Skills and Experience:

· Must be able to work in an office environment.

· Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.

· Keen sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong computer, phone skills, and full comprehension of Microsoft Office with focus on Excel.

· Creative analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Must pass a pre-employment background check.

· High school diploma or GED required.

· College degree preferred (but not required).
