Job description

Position Overview

Responsible for managing the development life cycle of Enterprise IT projects, including monitoring department metrics, resolving problems, reviewing trends, and determining solutions. Works with Business Unit Partners to develop technology strategies and roadmaps for long-term planning. Manages project teams and project costs to ensure fiscally responsible spending.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manages budget for department/projects including forecasting annual needs, tracking costs, investigating variances, and refining estimates.
  • Champions and manages the development life cycle of Enterprise IT projects.
  • Monitors Departmental metrics, problems, trends, etc, in order to determine solutions, required process changes, etc. - Suggests areas for improvement and solutions in internal processes, as well as any processes interaction with vendors and Service Providers.
  • Works with Business Partners to develop the business and technology strategy roadmap for 3 to 5-year planning efforts.
  • Actively motivates, coaches, mentors, trains, and provides leadership to team members including assessment in development and delivery of project material for Terminix.
  • Ensures systems are maintained and remain operational according to their respective SLA.
  • Responsible for delivering the right products/solutions on time, with the right costs, while ensuring that they adhere to technical and operating standards.


Job Requirements

  • BS/BA, preferably in a technical or scientific field, with 8 or more years of experience in IT project-based environment, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.
  • At least 5 years working in a leadership role demonstrating the functions described in the responsibilities description.
  • MA, PhD and/or COE certification is a plus.
  • A demonstrated successful track record of delivering programs of medium or above priority and risk is required.
  • Generally recognized as a qualified expert in Center of Excellence methodology and technique.
  • Expert understanding and can speak to application development life cycle and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its objectives.
  • Strong leadership ability with a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Performance-based enterprise and strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Require strong communication skills and the ability to understand and simplify complex material.
  • Self motivated, hard working, sociable, and driven by professional success.
  • An ability to quickly recognize solutions to arising issues
  • A drive to meet SLA's and develop metrics that ensure that SLAs are met

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
