Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for executing daily receiving clerk functions that include material receipt, inspections, storing, counting, picking, packaging, and distributing material/mail/deliveries throughout the facility. Associate is to assist with fulfilling tasks in the most effective and accurate manner.

Overall Responsibilities:

* Unload inbound material from truck shipments and assist delivery carriers with the unloading of parcel packages
* Inspect, review, verify, and record inbound material against delivery paperwork and document any discrepancies on appropriate documents
* Carry out material movements through the warehouse by way of put-away, picking, cycle counting, replenish, and consolidating inventoried material within storage locations
* Assist with sorting, counting, packaging, labeling by Management
* Assist with fulfilling scraps requests by way of pulling, staging, and systematically processing product as requested by Management
* Assist with generating labels for various operations, data entry, and filing of departmental documents
* Any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment

* Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written form
* Math skill - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately
* Attention to detail and perform multi-tasks successfully
* Effectively communicate with internal/external contacts/vendors
* Familiar with commonly used practices, concepts, and procedures within the warehousing field
* Capability to use computer and RF hand-held scanner

Education/Experience:

* High school Diploma or GED preferred but not required
* Previous work experience of 1 year in fulfillment/warehouse environment preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

* Operate lift trucks and pallet jacks
* Ability to lift up to 15 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
* Must be able to perform assigned work in a standing posture for extended periods
