Overview
The Agency Labor Manager is a key member of the Procurement team responsible for managing all Agency Labor activities for the company. This will include strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing activities; directly supporting functional groups such as Operations, Clinical Administration, and IT. The Agency Labor Manager, you will be responsible for, managing all requests for agency labor for the entire organization plus the vendors to fulfil these requests and all contracting efforts including rates, scorecards, and understanding utilization. This person will report directly to the Vice President of Procurement to Pay and will have direct report(s).
Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year College or university in economics, business or finance preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a large-scale environment, multi-site experience preferred
  • Management experience in procurement or Agency Labor preferred.
  • Prior supply chain, operations, agency labor or procure-to-pay experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, research market trends, identify best practices, and manage supporting contract development activities

Responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Manage all Agency Labor vendors including nursing, locums, and consultants.
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and rate cards to maximize enterprise wide purchasing power.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and drive for continuous savings and process improvement.
  • Monitor savings and define the budget impact, including tracking planned/ achieved savings, embedding savings into corporate budgets.
  • Lead/participate in cross-functional teams in the development of agency labor strategies.
  • Develop project plans and timeline for agency labor projects or programs
  • Negotiate and implement local, regional, and national agreements to support the savings and service goals of the client contracts.
  • Drive contract and vendor compliance to the new and existing national agreements.
  • Manage direct report(s).
  • Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend.
  • Uphold internal and external policies (e.g., code of ethics), regulations and laws (federal, state, and local) to ensure that the behavior of organization is honest, ethical, and professional
