Opportunity:

Physician Directed Partners, founded in 2021, is a fast-growing organization with 10+ Practice locations across the United States looking to partner with top talent at the ground level. We are looking for an individual to join our leadership team who is excited about building the finance and accounting function for our company.


Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting as a senior leadership team member responsible for driving business strategy and profit growth. The CFO will bring insightful analysis, process, reporting, metrics, and disciplined control to drive continuous margin improvement.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical leadership in corporate and operational financial functions, including financial and operational control, business integration, planning, forecasting and analysis, balance sheet and cash flow management, audit, and taxes.
  • Ensure that all income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and in compliance with company policies and standards - prepare corporate required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Direct Revenue Cycle operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable collections. Strives to achieve goals for cash collections and AR days and to reduce bad debt and denials. Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance.
  • Prepare the annual operating budget and participate in the annual strategic planning process which serves as a basis for the budget. Provide ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assist the CEO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
  • Design, implement and monitor the Company's system of internal controls.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business and proactively implement metrics and processes for analysis to more effectively manage the business and effect positive change.
  • Lead, manage, assess, and build a high-performance team within a growth-culture providing value to patients, direct communication, compliance, and accountability.
  • Provide financial direction as part of the modeling process for business development activities.
  • Participate in acquisitions which will include the financial analyses and related due diligence and integration activities.
  • Assess and improve as needed the finance and accounting infrastructure; leverage and implement reliable systems and cost-effective processes from top to bottom to support next stage of growth and permit real-time decision making.
  • Help drive the performance, strategic planning, and growth orientation of the business.
  • Monitor regulations and ensure compliance of financial policies and practices are in accordance with federal, state industry regulations and guidelines; manage required government agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Candidate Qualities & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience including a minimum of 5 years of recent experience as the CFO or Senior-level finance leader within a business.
  • 3+ years of recent experience working within the multi-site healthcare space, including managing the complexities of healthcare payor cycles and regulations.
  • Experience assessing and improving finance infrastructure, leveraging and implementing reliable systems and cost-effective processes.
  • Extensive experience with scenario planning and decision modeling and strong excel acumen.
  • Prior experience in due diligence and acquisition integration experience.
  • Early career accounting experience preferred.
  • An undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred.
