Office Manager Job Description

Reports to: Operations Manager


About Us:

Good Wood Nashville was started by Dave Puncochar in 2012. Dave was trying to match 100-year-old wood floors in his East Nashville Victorian house and got frustrated by the process. He imagined he could build something better than what he found out in the marketplace, and so, Good Wood Nashville was born out of his garage! He began selling barnwood, reclaimed flooring and other reclaimed wood. Soon, people were asking Dave to make custom furniture from the old wood.


Today, Good Wood's purpose is to craft beautiful works of art with wood.

Summary of our Office Manager job description:


  • Participates in daily huddle calls and level 10 meetings
  • Greets customers upon arrival in showroom
  • Answers phones, checks voicemails and returns calls
  • Communicates with customers around quotes, payment, contracts, timelines, etc.
  • Assists operations manager in calls to vendors, suppliers and customers
  • Updates showroom items on goodwoodnashville.com
  • Maintains showroom appearance and pricing
  • Purchases all office supplies
  • Enters inventory from showroom into QuickBooks
  • Plans and executes trade shows, client events, employee events
  • Pays bills, opens mails, forwards appropriate information to accountant
  • Creates and helps manage reports with operations manager (i.e. department profitability reports)
  • Reconciles receipts, cash drawer and does deposits
  • Assists with social media posts and weekly/biweekly e-blast
  • Helps with inside sales
  • Organizes office (supplies, computer files, password sheet, etc)
  • Refines office processes to be efficient and cost effective
  • Helps Founder & CEO with requested details and email management
  • Oversees marketing items (vehicle wraps, logoed apparel, brand usage, etc.)
  • Updates employee manual and oversees all onboarding logistics
  • Maintains and updates SOP (Standard Operation Procedures) manual
