Job description
IHS Markit - Private Markets is looking for a Senior Associate for its Credit vertical. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. S/he will work with clients and internal teams to help define, design and improve all processes, protocols and other aspects of the Service Delivery offering. S/he will identify new opportunities or trends from a client reporting perspective and work with team leads to incorporate those ideas into the existing service offering. S/he will serve as a liaison for the Service Delivery team across the entire Credit vertical to improve the visibility and transparency on all projects currently in process.
What you'll work on:
- Work very closely in a collaborative fashion with teams, clients and third-party partners to ensure the successful onboarding of all Credit clients.
- Provide ongoing support for new investment onboarding and liquidation processes.
- Serve as a facilitator for incoming client data requests, ensuring transparency and prompt resolutions
- Work hand in hand with clients and team members from multiple departments to design, iterate and agree on new, transformed business processes.
- Facilitate the organization of onboarding documents and data migration efforts, providing consistent status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and continuously improve best practices for all operational protocols surrounding the Credit offering. Deliver 'best-in-class' solutions that exceed client expectations.
What we look for:
- BA or BS Degree; Business, Accounting or Finance required.
- Previous experience in Private Debt (Distressed Debt, Mezzanine, CLO, and/or Direct Lending) is strongly preferred.
- Possess the highest ethical standards and a strong work ethic, willing to go the extra mile with a hands-on attitude
- Client engagement/consulting experience
- Ability to engage with clients confidently and authoritatively
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational skills and ability to document processes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Indexing, offset matching
- Conceptual understanding of the SaaS business model
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, reporting and analysis
- Exposure to back/middle office operations within a credit/private capital firm a plus
