Current Need

We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Development to join our team in The Woodlands, TX.

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Business Development, is responsible for supporting the US Oncology Network development and M&A Finance teams to help reach Fiscal Year EBIT growth targets. One of the primary objectives of this role is to support the business development process to shorten the overall sales process and assist the financial valuations team in their evaluation of selected targets. In addition, the Associated Director will be expected to take a leadership role in on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for the Managers of Business Development. Some of the Associate Director's primary responsibilities include:

* Supporting the financial modeling with respect to deal EBIT, market opportunity and overall transaction economics. This will include the associate director assisting with the collection of practice information, developing pro-forma financials for smaller transactions and lending assistance, as needed, to support the M&A Finance team in their analysis of larger transactions.

* Developing customer facing presentations that include PowerPoint presentation and other financial summaries. In addition, the Associate Director will assist in the development of internal executive summaries for the executive team to review and assess development opportunities.

* Managing the overall deal process, including coordination amongst various functions such as legal and operational leadership, to shorten the overall sales cycle and help reach growth goals.

* Coordinating the development of market analytics and growth strategies for supporting markets. This may include assisting in the development of strategic planning sessions with USON affiliated practices to define go-forward goals and strategies.

* Supporting the due diligence process of incoming practices to assess risk and opportunities, and to help finalize the practice's budget

* Assisting with on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for Managers of Business Development

The position will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Due Diligence and will include regular involvement with the M&A Finance team, practice leadership and other department leads who support the development process. As a result, the role requires the ability to communicate with cross functional leaders, grasp complex financial modeling along with maintaining a trusted advisor capacity to internal and external customers.

The position is a launching pad for career advancement into Business Development or other financial roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing presentations for field-based directors regarding financial transaction and value proposition.

* Communicating internally with legal/M&A Finance and operations to help solve deal points and quantify areas of growth. This will also include assisting in the development of pro-forma financials.

* Developing market analytics to support strategic initiatives by market.

* Researching current support services and acting is a liaison capacity to help communication flow to directors.

* Assisting with the due diligence process.

* Assisting with on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for Managers of Business Development.

Minimum Requirements

* 7 years of financial analysis/business development experience in a corporate/consulting environment.

Critical Skills

* Understanding of complex financial modeling

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of large businesses and provide strategic thinking

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to adapt to changing environments and be solutions-oriented

Additional Knowledge & Skills

* Demonstrated experience with market analytics and growth strategies

* Ability to work well with and influence others

* Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and have a proactive approach to learning

* Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

Education

* 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent experience

* MBA preferred

Physical Requirements

* Up to 20% of travel
