The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo's risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Within Data Management & Insights (DMI), the Deposit Payment and Treasury Management Data Domain has the responsibility to ensure Wells Fargo systems and applications across the domain meet the company's internal data governance standards as well as external regulatory expectations through strategic execution and partnering with business and technology functions. This is an individual contributor role within the Deposit Products Group (DPG) Deposit Payment Treasury Management Data Domain under the Consumer Small Business Banking Business Data Leadership team.

The Data Management Consultant 2 will develop and lead data governance activities for a group of applications in the Deposits Products Group and develop Data Dictionaries and Data Quality Control Assessments to ensure critical data and appropriate data controls are accurately identified, monitored and controlled on an ongoing basis.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates DPG deliverables and collaborates on data governance, data quality and metadata activities in alignment with the Data Management Policy.
  • Will complete data dictionaries and data quality control assessments for assigned systems and applications.
  • Partners with groups and various application teams across the firm to coordinate and drive execution of DPG deliverables.
  • Leverages domain expertise and data / business / process analysis to inform and support Business and Technology application teams.
  • Provides input into communication routines with stakeholders and business partners, in conjunction with the Domain Manager.
  • Mentor and train junior team members

Please note: This position will initially be remote but will be required to work from one of the locations on the job posting at a future date (to be determined). Long term telecommute/remote or relocation assistance is not offered.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of creating data dictionaries, metadata and data quality artifacts
  • Deposits Payments & Treasury Management Data Domain Experience


Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
